Reflection on my first draft and what I changed

A major weakness of my first draft was its lengthy run time which I realised I needed to trim down in order to be within the boundaries of the brief. This led me to reviewing the entirety of the video and what could be taken out in order to create a more cohesive viewing experience at a solid 3 minute running time, without disrupting the build of the song, which is detrimental in the enjoyment of the track.

This led me to taking out a scene that I had put in my first draft where the two cars are in a car on their way to a romantic lookout, which doesn't appear in my first draft as I had not successfully found a place to shoot. Therefore, upon reviewing the footage it seemed best to make shooting more easy and cut out what could've been a time consuming and most likely non impactful scene.

As well this, upon reviewing the video I realised that some of the shots at the end of the video weren't colour graded very effectively. This made the shots too bright and saturated which worked somewhat but seemed like too much of a drastic change to the rest of the footage. I therefore tried to make this change not as dramatic and toned it down for the final cut.
