Band websites from the genre I am working in
Images
- The only image on the front page is of the two artists in a pop art form that represents the artist's music as being light-hearted as well as using the crown motif to link their work as a reference to the historical figure 'LOUIS THE CHILD'.
Typography
- All the text uses a sans-serif font
- The text gets smaller as you go down the page using the hierarchy of text as a ladder to follow down the site
Background
- The site uses a simple black and white background that allows the images and text to stand out
- The name of the upcoming tour is the first thing that you see when opening the site
Logos
- Their logo also uses a sans serif font and uses a crown motif that links all of their work together.
- The logo's linking font connotes to the relationship between the two artists
- The DEAR SENSE TOUR uses a colourful sans-serif font that connotes to static as a reference to electronic dance music as well as the colourful background that links to technology as a reference to a TV error screen
CALVIN HARRIS

Images
- The page uses images from recent album/EP art so as to promote up to date releases from the artist
- The images are very straightforward and basic unless the song has blown up which would lead to the website needing to promote the single further with more in depth images.
Typography
- The typography for the PROMISES cover uses a serif font that connotes to the songs having an unusual sound with Arabic style write and any reference to the actual artist having a sans serif font, as if the songs stand apart from the artist
Background
- The opening image bleeds into the background as it is his most recent/popular song meaning that the site is centred around promoting that one song
- Social media is readily available at the top of the website, as well as the merch store and any new content
Logos
- The logo is very straightforward, simply using a sans-serif straightforward font separated by underlining’s to have it stand out which is carried across all of his other work where the font is simple, and the collaborating artist is allowed to stand out as they are personality that pushes the track.
