Why I chose my track - Oh Wonder - Body Gold (Louis The Child Remix

For my Music Video I chose to use a Louis The Child remix of Oh Wonder by Body Gold.

The song seemed appropriate to the music video that I was endeavouring to make due to its use of a more relaxed drum beat as opposed to most dance tracks that seem to have a more in your face and loud use of synth and electronic sounds. I intend to use a narrative based music video as opposed to a heavy use of dance through montage as I would not be able to effectively produce such a video meaning that a slower beat and dance track in general would allow for more focus to be on the video and its plot. The song focuses on a sorrowful relationship meaning that using montage and choreographed dancing wouldn't work as well for my video which is good for me because of my inability to find such dancers.

The fluctuating beat and use of defined percussion would allow me to experiment with editing so as to conform with the beat much like David Fincher in his videos (with his being in a more pop led medium). Due to my wishes to create a video that doesn't conform to the normal nature of summer dance music that is constantly being released, this use of more strange vocal sound bites as percussion singles itself out as slightly alternative to the mainstream and a good choice for a story led video. I wish to look at a singular theme in relation to my video and explore this thoroughly as I believe there are a lot of avenues I can explore through this style of music.
